Election Day for Moldovans in Chicago

November 30th, 2014, marks a historical moment for Moldova, as the Parliamentary Elections were held in Chicago for the first time. The elections were the eighth parliamentary election since independence in 1991 and were a victory for the pro-European integration bloc.

Voter turnout marks a great success, with over 700 Moldovans coming out to polling stations at Logos Christian Academy in Niles, IL, organized by Carolina Perebinos, Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the United States and Mexico in Washington D.C.
